About IGF-1 LR3
Much of what growth hormone does in muscle and other tissues is actually carried out by IGF-1, a growth factor made mostly in the liver. IGF-1 LR3 is an engineered version of that factor. It has a 13-amino-acid extension at the start and an arginine swapped in at position 3. Those changes stop it from being tied up by the proteins that normally bind IGF-1, so it stays active far longer. That makes it a strong tool in cell growth, muscle and tissue repair research.
